M'Linguwang Cave – 98.3 meter Length Located at Brgy. Sabanal, KSK.
Iglok Cave – 441.65 meter Length Located at Brgy. Sabanal, KSK.
This year a total of four(4) new caves were assessed and classified and these are the following: 1. Marzo Cave located at Brgy. Kuden, Sen. Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat as Class 2;2. Kalamagan Nest Cave located at Sitio Minorok, Brgy. Limulan, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat having a length of 77.55 meters; 3. Iglok Cave, located at Brgy. Sabanal, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat with a length of 441.65 meters; and 4. M’linguwang Cave located at Barangay Sabanal, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat having a length of 98.3 meters. Said activity accomplished
100% the annual target of 4 caves. To compliment the above-activity on the management of caves and cave resources, the 3 PAWCZMS’ Chiefs of the province attended the Caving Congress held at Marinduque last April 2014 in the persons of Foresters Sainoding D. Hadjimanan of PENRO-SK, James O. Omar of CENRO-Tacurong City and Mando Maguid of CENRO-Kalamansig purposely to gain knowledge on the basic caving activities, cave assessment and classification which includes cave surveying and lastly the cave management.

Deputation and Mobilization of WEO
The Deputation and Mobilization of WEOs for the LGUs of Isulan, Lutayan, Mariano Marcos, Sen. Ninoy Aquino and Provincial ENRO of Sultan Kudarat of the mainland and the Marine Battalion Landing Team (MBLT) Nos. 7 & 8 of Barangays Tibpuan and Masurot of Lebak, Sultan Kudarat was effected which helped to disseminate to the constituents the contribution of wildlife to the environment as well as the vital role of every individual to protect the wild lives and their habitat in accordance to Republic Act 9147 (Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act). Hence, regular WEO meetings were held in cognizant with the laws affecting the wild lives in our area of jurisdiction. Such activities were supported by reports submitted to lead agency.

Operation /Mobilization of Wildlife Traffic Monitoring Units
The operation / mobilization of Wildlife Traffic Monitoring Units in the different LGU sites in the province such as Esperanza, Lutayan, Mariano Marcos, Pres. Quirino, Tacurong City and Kalamansig Port to implement the RA 9147 minimized the illegal gathering and trading of wild flora and fauna in the province. Such activity resulted to the recovery of one (1) female Tarsier specie at Sitio Tanglay, Brgy. Sta Clara, Klamansig, Sultan Kudarat. Said activity was supported by a periodic report submitted to higher office.

Monitoring of Threatened Wildlife
Every month of January of each year, the PAWCZMS of CENR Offices conducted the ASIAN Waterbirds Census (AWC) in identified wetland areas in the province to protect, conserve and preserve the area for it is known as the sanctuary of local and foreign migratory species.
For the year, said activity was conducted in 2 sites such as: Lake Buluan Natural Biotic Area under the jurisdiction of Lutayan Municipality in the mainland and at Sitio Kumalawit, Barangay Purikay, Lebak in the coastal areas, all in the Province of Sultan Kudarat. A total of ten (10) kinds of bird species of at least 200 populations per specie were accomplished during the conduct of AWC. However, CENRO-Kalamansig reported late that a total of 847 different kinds of bird species were census in respective aor.
Among the species of migratory birds found in said areas were the following:

In addition, regular monitoring of habitat of threatened wildlife species at Baras Bird Sanctuary, Tacurong City and Kumalawit Mudflat, Purikay, Lebak was undertaken by concerned PAWCZMS personnel. This resulted to the turned-over and released of one (1) female migratory bird of Brahminy kite specie on May 23, 2014 under CENRO-Kalamansig. Also the activity focused for the detection of Avian Flu’s presence in the area. Status report required submitted every quarter to higher office.

Issuance of Wildlife Permit
A total of five (5) local transport permits versus the eight (8) targets were issued to private individuals to transport their propagated orchids and domesticated plants to desired places with a total amount generated of Php500.00 as Certification Fees. The following clients were the following:
1. Mr. Vonjonvi S. Boron
2. Engr. Leopoldo D. Penaredondo, Jr.,
3. Ms. Mailyn Joy B. Aquino,
4. Ms. Claudia S Somcio and
5. Major Joseph Reyes of Phil. Army.
A campaign was continuously undertaken to make people aware of the importance of the habitat of fauna within the
possessions of every citizen of the province.

Permit Holders Monitored
Five (5) CWR holders within area of jurisdiction was regularly monitored by the 2 CENROs hence four (4) CWR forms/reports been submitted to higher office every quarter. The data will be used in the preparation of ENR Profile by Sector later. These permit holders Are: 1. Mr. Dionisio Coloma of Brgy. Katiku, Pres. Quirino, 2. Ms. Mary Jane N. Cortez of EJC Montilla, Tacurong City, 3. Sultan Kudarat State University, Lutayan Campus, 4. Mr. Mamerto Mallari, Jr. and Mr. Bert Gadiana of Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat.

Celebration of Other PAWCZMS Special Events / Coastal Activities
The office of the PENRO and 2 CENROs spearheaded the celebration of specials events related to World Wetlands Day (February); Biodiversity Day (May); and Philippine Eagle Week (June) within area of responsibility first through hanging of streamer or tarpaulin in strategic places in the office for public information and participation in actual celebrations.
